TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U4907 HOLLOW ROAD, THURSTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4907 Hollow Road, Thurston from the junction with Church Road to Bury St Edmunds Vineyard to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Hollow Lane, Norton Road, Tostock Road, Thurston Road, The Planche and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/05/2026 - 01/06/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C600 HIGHBRIDGE GRAVEL DRIVE

AND THE C6019 SEDGE FEN ROAD, LAKENHEATH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

• The C600 Highbridge Gravel Drive, Lakenheath

• The C6019 Sedge Fen Road, Lakenheath.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1112, Eriswell Road, Mildenhall Road, Holywell Row, the A1101, Farthing Drove, Beck Row, Burt Fen, Farthing Drive, Sedge Fen, Newmans Grove, Lakenheath and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/05/2026 - 20/05/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

AND SCHOOL ROAD, LITTLE THURLOW AND GREAT WRATTING

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. B1061 Bradley Road, Little Thurlow from 50 metres north of The Green to 50 metres south of The Green

  2. B1061 School Road, Great Wratting from 50 metres north of Church End to 50 metres south of Church End.

This is to facilitate replacement of a telecommunications pole and re cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1061, the A143, the A1307, the A11, the A1304, the B1061 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/05/2026 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U7064 The Green, Depden from the junction with Hall Close for 670 metres eastbound

  2. U7064 Road from A143 to C659, Depden from the junction with Wickhambrook Road to the junction with Hall Close

  3. C659 Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook from 30 metres north of the water tower on Ashfield Green for 170 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. The Green, Wickhambrook Road, Chevington Road, the A143, The Green and vice versa

  2. Wickhambrook Road, Chevington Road, the A143, The Green, Road from A143 to C659 and vice versa

  3. Wickhambrook Road, Chevington Road, the A143, Church Road, Ashfield Green and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  1. 18/05/2026 - 01/06/2026

  2. 02/06/2026 - 08/06/2026

  3. 09/06/2026 - 12/06/2026.

TEMPORARY 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF

THE B1106 ROAD FROM B1106 ROUNDABOUT AND A1101

ICKLINGHAM ROAD, FORNHAM ALL SAINTS AND BARTON MILLS

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1106 Road from B1106 Roundabout, Fornham All Saints from the A134 Roundabout to Culford Road Roundabout and A1101 Icklingham Road, Barton Mills from the A11 five way roundabout to the Travel Lodge access road to aid the use of Highways England diversion. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 18/05/2026 - 20/06/2026 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

• C632 The Triangle, Culford from 200 metres south east of the junction with the B1106 for 100 metres south eastbound

• C632 from A134 to B1106, Ingham from the junction with The Triangle for 100 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate remedial works from previous communications duct laying works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be C632 From A134 to B1106, the A134, the B1106, The Triangle and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/05/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Footpath 23, Creeting St Peter from 1820 metres north of the junction with Stowmarket Road for 95 metres southbound for safety reasons due to a damaged boardwalk. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Footpath 24, Footpath 8, Stowmarket Road, Footpath 22, Footpath 39, Footpath 2, Footpath 14, Footpath 23 and vice versa.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 27/04/2026.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 26/10/2026 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
