NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

(BRIDLEWAY ALONG WOOD LANE) CREATION ORDER 2022

On 18th May 2026 the Leeds City Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is upgrade the public footpaths along Wood Lane to public bridleways commencing from a point, SE 3763 3666, at the junction with Main Street, alongside number 159 and proceeding for a distance of 456 metres to a point, SE 3721 3663, on Wood Lane as shown on the Order Map. The bridleways will have a width of 3 metres.

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen at Climate Energy and Green Spaces Reception, Farnley Hall, Hall Lane, Farnley, LS12 5HA (reference 160506), from 8.00am to 4.00pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Friday and also at Scholes Library, Station Road, Scholes, Leeds, LS15 4BJ during normal opening hours. Copies of the Order and Map may also be viewed online www.leeds.gov.uk/PROWorders or obtained by emailing prow@leeds.gov.uk or calling 0113 3782875.

The Order comes into force on 8th June 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act, as amended, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 19 May 2026, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
