PETERHEAD – PROPOSED REDUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS

Aberdeenshire Council proposes to make “The Aberdeenshire Council (Balmoor Terrace, Peterhead) (Reduction of waiting restrictions) Order, 2026” under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The effect of the order will be to reduce existing waiting restriction on Balmoor Terrace, Peterhead as follows:

REDUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTION A982 BALMOOR TERRACE

Existing eastbound ‘At Any Time’ restrictions to be reduced by a distance of 53 metres. The reduction will remove ‘At Any Time’ waiting restrictions from a point 106 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of U190b Balmoor Terrace to a point 160 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of U190b Balmoor Terrace.

Existing westbound ‘At Any Time’ restrictions to be reduced by a distance of 43 metres. The reduction will remove ‘At Any Time’ waiting restrictions from a point 106 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of U190b Balmoor Terrace to a point 150 metres east of the extended eastern kerbline of U190b Balmoor Terrace. Full details of the proposals are in the draft order and plans which, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined online via www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/roadsand-travel/roads/traffic-management/traffic-measures/ or during normal office hours at Woodhill House, Westburn Road, Aberdeen, AB16 5GB. Anyone wishing to object should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the undersigned or via the above website from 19 may 2026 until 9 June 2026. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
