What is happening?

THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

(THORPE ST ANDREW, VARIOUS ROADS)

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) CONSOLIDATION AND

VARIATION ORDER 202X

Norfolk County Council propose to make the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:

  1. consolidate The Norfolk County Council (Thorpe St Andrew, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Consolidation and Variation Order 2025 whereby the prohibition of waiting on the existing lengths of road specified in that Order will not be changed (apart from the C596 Harvey Lane (East Side) which is extended as per the lengths below) and:
  2. vary the existing Order by removing the reference to the C596 Harvey Lane (East Side) from a point 125 metres south of the mid point of its junction with U59832 Boulton Road southwards for a distance of 36 metres and then inserting a prohibition of waiting at any time to Schedule 1 on the lengths of road stated in the Schedule below.

The existing Order is proposed to be consolidated for the efficient administration of the restrictions. A copy of the draft Order, a plan, Statement of Reasons for making the Order and the existing Order being revoked can be viewed online at www.norfolk.citizenspace.com. Copies are also available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH and at the offices of Broadland District Council, Horizon Business Centre, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF. Online viewing is recommended.

Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made. All correspondence for these proposals must be received at the office of nplaw, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH, marked for the attention of the nplaw Traffic Regulation Order Team by 9th June 2026. They may also be emailed to TrafficOrders@norfolk.gov.uk
