Temporary Traffic Restriction Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Webber Street Falmouth between the junction of Killigrew Street and grid reference SW80653 32963. It is further ordered that Cornwall Council makes this Order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily suspend the existing one-way order
The County of Cornwall (Falmouth) (Restrictions on Driving) (Consolidation) Order 1991 Webber Street (Class Ill) between its junctions with The Moor and Market Strand for its entire length by the yellow line on the plan attached to this Order.
The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out electric connection works. The Order will come into operation on 26th May 2026 and the works are expected to be completed by the 29th May 2026.
The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0700 on a daily basis, weekdays only.
Nothing in Paragraph 1 of this Order will apply to emergency services, bus traffic, school buses, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.
