What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C5032 LONG LANE, STAINTON WITH ADGARLEY AND U5135 LITTLE URSVICK) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road: -
(i) C5032 Long Lane, Stainton with Adgarley, from its junction with the U5135, extending in an easterly direction for a distance of approx. 100m.
Alternative Route: via Ulverston Road, Greystone Lane and the unrestricted section of Long Lane.
Duration: From 18th May 2026 for approx. 4 days (Ref: TTROW/I8374)
(ii) U5135 Little Urswick, from a point adjacent to a property known as Bolton Manor Farm, extending in a south westerly direction for a distance of approx. 150m.
Alternative Route: via the C5031, C5032 Long Lane and the unrestricted section of the U5135.
Duration: From 22nd May 2026 for approx. 3 weeks (Ref: TTROW/I7881)

The Order will come into operation on 18th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
