(AINSLIE STREET, BARROW IN FURNESS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Ainslie Street, from its junction with Abbey Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 740 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via Abbey Road, Holker Street and Devonshire Road.

The Order will come into operation on 18th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 12 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
