NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Furnex Pelham 24, from junction with footpath 23 to junction with Manuden 39, for an approximate distance of 90m. Alternative route: pedestrians via Manuden 12, 39, Berden 57, 25, Stocking Pelham 10, 08, Furneux Pelham 16, 18, equestrians no suitable alternative on PROW network
The purpose of the Order is to enable maintenance works to take place.
The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 20 May 2026 for up to 11 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.90A-98 CUFFLEY HILL, GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.90A-98 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from a point 21m north west of its easternmost junction with B156 Cuffley Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because water service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 14 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bowling Road, Ware from its junction with Vicarage Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, Garland Road, Musley Lane and Bowling Road.
The Order is needed because gas main works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 1 June 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 14 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):-
1. that length of Aspenden Road, Buntingford from its junction with The Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 81m. An alternative route will be via 3U20 (unnamed road), Station Road, A10 (unnamed road), London Road and Aspenden Road.
2. that length of The Street, Aspenden from its junction with Aspenden Road westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN GOFFS OAK) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Newgatestreet Road, Goffs Oak from its junction with Wesley Close south eastwards to its junction with B156 Cuffley Hill, a distance of approximately 118m.
An alternative route will be via Newgatestreet Road, Hammondstreet Road, Peakes Lane, Peakes Way, Rosedale Way and Goffs Lane.
2. the road fronting No.1 and No.2 Newgatestreet Road, Goffs Oak from its junction with Newgatestreet Road south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 47m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of B156 (Goffs Lane/Cuffley Hill), Goffs Oak from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.647 Goffs Lane north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 215m. An alternative route will be via B156 (Goffs Lane/Churchgate Road/ Flamstead End Road/Brookfield Lane West/Halfhide Lane), A1170 Great Cambridge Road, A10 (Turnford Link Road/unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane/Horns Mill Road/Lower Hatfield Road/ unnamed road/Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/ Kentish Lane), A1000 Great North Road, B157 (Shepherds Way/ The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Station Road/ Cuffley Hill).
4. that length of Jones Road, Goffs Oak from its junction with B156 Cuffley Hill south westwards to its junction with Pembroke Drive, a distance of approximately 120m.
An alternative route will be via B156 (Cuffley Hill/Goffs Lane), Halstead Hill, Silver Street and Jones Road.
5. the service road fronting Nos.1-51 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from its junction with Jones Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 148m.
An alternative route will be via Jones Road, B156 Cuffley Hill and the service road fronting Nos.1-51 Goffs Oak.
6. that length of B156 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak from a point in line with western boundary of No.16 Cuffley Hill south westwards to its junction with Robinson Avenue, a distance of approximately 241m.
An alternative route will be via B156 (Cuffley Hill/Goffs Lane/ Churchgate Road/Flamstead End Road/Brookfield Lane West/Halfhide Lane), A1170 Great Cambridge Road, A10 (Turnford Link Road/ unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane/Horns Mill Road/ Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), A1000 Great North Road, B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Station Road/Cuffley Hill).

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Stanstead Abbotts as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 14 May 2026 during office hours, at Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting East Herts and looking at Ref: EH00726.
