(North Terrace, Crook) (Phased Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

The Council on 8/5/2026 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of North Terrace, Crook, to be undertaken in 2 phases:

Phase 1 A 46 metre length between the memorial park and the west side of St Catherine’s Church; a 52 metre length from the front of the old St Catherine’s Church to the front of the RAFA Club and a 10 metre length of Gladstone Street to the side of Number 10 North Terrace.

Phase 2 A 68 metre length from the front of Number 14 North Terrace to the junction with Mill Street and a 48 metre length to the eastern side of St Catherine’s Church to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken.

Throughout the period of the closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic from the east side of the closure in a southerly direction on Mill Street, then west on A690 to the western end of the closure and vice versa.

The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are due to commence on Monday 18/5/2026 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 nights, between 7pm-6am. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
