What is happening?

City Council Notices

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Ferrers Close.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURE

PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY FERRERS CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Ferrers Close for its entire length.

The Order would come into operation at 00:01 hours Thursday 25th May 2026 and is required to allow for the safe demolition of 3 apartment buildings. 

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 25th May 2027. 

The Order has a max duration of 6 months. The Council reserves the right to seek an extension to the Order from the Secretary of State for Transport in the event it believes the Order will be required beyond 6 months.

Exemptions would be provided for:-
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) anyone in connection with the execution of the said works; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) Local Pedestrian access.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
BERWYN AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Berwyn Avenue for its full length.

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Tuesday, 26 May 2026 and is required to enable the installation of patch from numbers 13 - 17 Berwyn Avenue and associated works on Berwyn Avenue to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 26 May 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency; 

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS
ACACIA AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Acacia Avenue from its junction with London Road to its junction with Seagrave Road. 

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 and is required to enable the renewal of a chamber and associated works on Acacia Avenue to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 29 May 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Acacia Avenue.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

THORNTON CLOSE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Thornton Close for its full length.

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Friday, 22 May 2026 and is required to enable the installation of a boundary box by Severn Trent and associated works on Thornton Close to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 25 May 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.
Exemptions would be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Thornton Close.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Hall Lane from its junction with Hinkley Road to its junction with Boswell Drive.

The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Thursday, 28 May 2026 and is required to enable BT to install cable ducting and associated works on Hall Lane to take place safely. 

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed 29 May 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure would be sign posted on site.
