What is happening?

Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam wedi’i gwnedu GORCHYMYN (GWAHARDD TRAFFIG TRWODD) DROS DRO dan Adran 14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 o 18/05/2026 a fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio Linley Avenue, Tre Ioan, Wrecsam, ar ei hyd o’r gyffordd â Snowdon Drive tua’r dwyrain am tua 50m. Mae hyn er mwyn galluogi O’Connor Utilities ar ran Scottish Power i gloddio a thrwsio cebl foltedd uchel ar y droedffordd a’r lôn gerbydau. Gan mai pen caeedig yw hwn, nid oes llwybr amgen i gerbydau a effeithir. Bydd mynediad yn cael ei gynnal i breswylwyr bob amser. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr yn cael ei gynnal trwy gydol y cyfnod y mae’r ffordd ar gau. Disgwylir i’r gwaharddiad bara am hyd at 5 diwrnod, neu nes cwblhau’r gwaith os bydd hynny’n gynt, a gallai bara hyd at 18 mis.

Darren Williams - Prif Swyddog, Amylcheddol a Thechnegol

Rydym yn croesawu gohebiaeth yn Gymraeg. Byddwn yn ymateb i unrhyw ohebiaeth yn Gymraeg ac ni fydd hyn yn arwain at unrhyw oedi.

Wrexham County Borough Council has made a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 effective from 18/05/2026 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Linley Avenue, Johnstown, Wrexham, from its junction with Snowdon Drive in an easterly direction for approximately 50m. This is to enable O’Connor Utilities on behalf of Scottish Power to excavate and repair an LV cable fault in the footway and in the carriageway. As this is a dead end, there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure. Access will be maintained for residents at all times. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure. The prohibition is expected to last for 5 days, or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
