The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highways (North West) (No.20) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of 2 lengths of unnamed highway to the south west of Villiers Street at Burnley. This is to enable development as permitted by Burnley Borough Council under reference FUL/2024/0113.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO1313734). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Coal Clough Library, Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, BB11 4NW.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 15 May 2026. S Zamenzadeh, Casework Manager
