THE FIFE COUNCIL (BELL STREET & GREYFRIARS GARDEN, ST ANDREWS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026

Fife Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 –

(i)   prohibit the use by vehicular traffic of Bell St (from St. Marys Pl to South St); and

(ii)  introduce a temporary taxi rank on the west side of Greyfriars Gdns (from approx. 11m north of Market St to the projected boundary line of prop nos. 5 and 4 (excluding the No Waiting At Any Time section).

The Order is to allow for the installation of sewer connections to be carried out in safety and will be operational from 25/05/26 to 14/06/26 or until earlier completion of the works. The alternative route for through traffic will be via South St, Abbey St, Kinnessburn Rd, Bridge St, City Rd and St. Marys Pl. Access for emergency service vehicles will be via Market Street. Access for residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
