TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

PANTYMWYN

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Pen y Fron Road (Post Office Lane), between its junctions with Cilcain Road / Bwlch y Ddeuffryn and Pen y Fron Road, Pantymwyn, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate essential maintenance, and upgrade works with associated works by O’Connor Utilities Ltd on behalf of Scottish Power.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

The Order comes into force on the 18 May 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is anticipated that the road will be closed for 2 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

QUEENSFERRY

Flintshire County has made an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Dundas Street, between its junctions with Station Road and Queen Street Queensferry, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to facilitate gas mains replacement with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 20 May 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. It is anticipated that the road will be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC NOTICE

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

FLINT

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from 15 May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding on Aber Road, between its junctions with A548 Holywell Road and Coleshill Street Flint, in the county of Flintshire.

The reason for the restriction is to complete essential repairs to a mains cable associated works by Scottish Power Energy Networks.

Alternative routes will be signed accordingly with the use of prescribed signs.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on the 29 May 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The closure is expected to last for approximately 10 days, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NOS. 12, 13 AND 16 IN THE COMMUNITY OF WEST SALTNEY IN THE COUNTY OF FLINTSHIRE

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 15 May 2026 to make an Order which will prohibit pedestrians from using the public footpaths in the County of Flintshire as listed below:-

1. A section of Public Footpath No. 12 in West Saltney between points NGR 331004 369236 and NGR 331036 369287

2. A section of Public Footpath No. 13 in West Saltney between points NGR 330821 369329 and NGR 331028 369282

3. A section of Public Footpath No. 16 in West Saltney between points NGR 331036 369287 and NGR 331396 369079

The reason for the closures is to protect the public whilst essential maintenance works take place on the Hawarden Railway Bridge by Amco Giffen.

The alternative route on site is Public Footpath No. 8 which runs adjacent to the affected footpaths.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 1 June 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The footpaths are expected to be closed for 6 months, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of six months.

NOTICE OF MAKING

THE FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH AND NATIONAL SPEED LIMITS. RESTRICTED AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) (GREEN LANE EAST, DEESIDE)

(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 19) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that on the 12th May 2026, Flintshire County Council made an Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 82 (2) (a) and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose :

a) A speed limit of 30mph on:-

Green Lane East: from its junction with the A548, for a distance of 515 metres in a south easterly direction.

In all other respects the present provisions of The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023 will remain in force.
