Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Road and Footpath Closures due to Resurfacing, Utility and Construction Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3097 (Part), Heywood and North Bradley; from its junction with Mill Lane to its junction with C7.

B) Hawkeridge Road, Heywood and Westbury; from its junction with B3097 to its junction with Slag Lane.

C) Slag Lane (Part), Westbury; from its junction with Hawkeridge Road to its junction with Frogmore Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing. Alternative route A via B3097 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3097 (unaffected length) and vice versa. No alternative route for B and C. This Order will come into operation only on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required weeknights only between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 16 June 2026. D) UC 826501 (Part), South Wraxall; from its junction with C215 for a distance of approximately 140m in a north easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via UC 826501 (unaffected length) – B3109 – C215 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation at 09:00 on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day for 5 days. E) Woburn Close (Part), Trowbridge; from a point approximately 15m north east of its junction with Sherborne Road for a distance of approximately 15m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out excavation to lay duct and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 3 days. F) C150 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C157 to its junction with C163 to enable Openreach Limited to carry out desilting works and other associated works. Alternative route via C150 (unaffected length) – B3353 – A4 – A350 – C150 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. G) Church Acre, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with Huntingdon Street for its entire length to enable Openreach Limited to carry out ducting and associated works. No alternative route is available.

H) Church Lane (Part), North Bradley; from its junction with Westbury Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair cover and associated works. Alternative route via Church Lane (unaffected length) – C227 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 2 days. I) C157 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with The Ridge to its junction with Rough Street to enable Openreach Limited to carry out overhead cabling work and other associated works. Alternative route via C157 (unaffected length) – C37 – C4 – B3353 – C157 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. J) A363 (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its junction with B3109 for a distance of approximately 140m in a north easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A363 (unaffected length) – C399 – B3109 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 2 days. Orders A) to J) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:

Footpath 17 (Part), Winsley; from its junction with Avon Park Village Drive for a distance of approximately 240m in an easterly direction to enable due to the site compound location to deliver 69 new apartments, we require to divert the public away from the area of works and site traffic to ensure their safety during the construction period. Alternative route via signed route and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 22 May 2026 and the closure will be required until 09 October 2026. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months.
