THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH BOLTON 244) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO. 109) ORDER 2026
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 1st June 2026, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Bolton 244 commencing point A at grid reference SD 74491 08498 in a generally southerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 74493 08073; as shown by the bold black line on the notice plan 1 Bol244 over a total distance of approximately 127 metres.
An alternative route is available commencing from point A at grid reference SD 74491 08498 then the permissive cycle route, Hatherleigh Walk, public footpath Bol 304, Bol305, Radcliffe Road to point B at grid reference SD 74493 08373. The Order is necessary to facilitate drainage works and will continue for a period of 3 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
