What is happening?

Salford City Council made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The title and effects of the Order is as follows; City Of Salford (Breck Road, Dartford Avenue, Kearsley Street, Leamington Road And Woodford Avenue, Barton And Winton) (Prohibition Of Waiting) (Revocation) Order 2026 The Order will introduce the following restrictions. No Waiting At Any Time on:

Breck Rd - North side, from its junction with Leamington Rd to a point 4m south east from the south eastern extended kerbline of Kearsley St. South side, from the south eastern extended kerbline of Kearsley St to a point 5m east from the eastern extended kerbline of Wain Close. Dartford Ave - Both sides, from its junction with Leamington Rd for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction. Kearsley St - North west side, from the south western extended kerbline of Leamington Rd for a distance of 5m in a south westerly direction. South east side, from the south western extended kerbline of Breck Rd for a distance of 9m in a south westerly direction. Leamington Rd - North east side, from a point 10m north west from the north western extended kerbline of Woodford Ave to a point 10m south east from the extended south eastern kerbline of Woodford Ave. North east and north side, from a point 10m north west from the north western extended kerbline of Dartford Ave to its junction with Breck Rd. South west side from the north western extended kerbline of Kearsley St for a distance of 10m in a north westerly direction. Woodford Ave - Both sides, from its junction with Leamington Rd for a distance of 10m in a north easterly direction. The Order will come into operation on the 15th May 2026. A copy of the Order and plan will be available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm to Fri inclusive. Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be requested at phlegal@ manchester.gov.uk or by writing to Fiona Ledden, City Solicitor PO BOX 532, Town Hall, Manchester M60 2LA quoting reference L/GS/SCC006/01143 If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from 12th May 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
