Wilton Road, Southampton - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Mains Replacement Works

(WILTON ROAD) (ROAD CLOSURE) (044/67)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Wilton Road from its junction with Bellemoor Road to its junction with Bridlington Road.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for gas mains replacement.

3. The alternative route will be Bellemoor Road, Hill Lane and Wilton Road.

4. The Order will come into force on 1st June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 26th June 2026.
