TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2026

The Oldham Borough Council on 11th May 2026 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to reduce the 50 MPH speed limit to 30 MPH on Oldham Way Westbound / northbound carriageway, from a point 110 metres west of its junction with Prince Street to its junction with Featherstall Road Roundabout andEastbound / southbound carriageway, from its junction with Featherstall Road Roundabout to its junction with the off-slip road to Emmot Way.

The Order is to be made to allow essential repair works on Manchester Street Viaduct and safety of operatives and will be in force for 13 months from 18th May 2026, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
