MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC 150026159 : The City of Manchester (Hackness Road, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Hackness Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Whitehead Road, Eleanor Road, Kingshill Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate installing a new customer water connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 1st June 2026 to the 3rd June 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 1st June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 18th May 2026

ORDER NO. MCC000 150116080 : The City of Manchester (Copson Street, Old Moat Ward)(Temporary Suspension of Parking) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to suspend the operation of the designated parking place on Copson Street , disabled parking bay suspensions from its junction with Hill Street to its junction with Moorfield Street.
The Council is satisfied that the suspension is necessary in order to facilitate disabled parking bay suspensions from its junction with Hill Street to its junction with Moorfield Street.
It is expected that the work will be in progress between the 1st June 2026 and the 4th June 2026. The Order shall come into operation on the 1st June 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
