(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026(G26-077)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Burton Joyce in the Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Shaftesbury Avenue, Burton Joyce - From its junction with Gordon Road in a Northwesterly direction, for a distance of 50 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01, Monday 18th May 2026
Until 23:59 Tuesday 18th August 2026 inclusive.
The Order will come into force on Monday 18th May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out works to allow safe access to and from pumping station whilst internal works are carried out;
