What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL (LACEY ROAD, STOCKWOOD, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Lacey Road from the common boundary line between No.20 and No.22 Lacey Road to the common boundary line between No.24 and No.26 Lacey Road. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will become operative from 3rd June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 3rd June 2026 and 1st July 2026).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lacey Road (part unaffected), Thompson Road, Cornish Walk, Cornish Road, Lacey Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(MARWOOD ROAD, KNOWLE, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Marwood Road from Barnstaple Road to Connaught Road.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will become operative from 1st June 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 1st June 2026 and 4th June 2026).

Exemption will be provided in the Order for any vehicle requiring necessary access to premises situated on the closed length.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Barnstaple Road, Kinvara Road, Connaught Road and vice versa
