TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000 150044938 : The City of Manchester (Rochdale Road, Higher Blackley Ward)(Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to suspend the operation of the bus lane on Rochdale Road. Prohibit any bus, taxi or pedal cycle from proceeding at any time in the following length of bus lane: From 1263 Rochdale Road to Hilldale Avenue. The City Council is satisfied that this suspension is necessary in order to facilitate Rebuilding of Chamber valve It is expected that the works will be in progress from 30th May 2026 to 31st May 2026
The order shall come into operation on 30th May 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
