What is happening?

THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON

(OSBORNE ROAD NORTH) (ROAD CLOSURE) (033/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make

the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be to close Osborne Road North from its closed end to 70m north of its closed end.

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete carriageway resurfacing.

3. There is no alternative route.

4. The Order will come into force on 2nd June 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 31st December 2026.
