What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (THOMAS LEWIS WAY) (ROAD CLOSURE) (022/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 11th May 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Thomas Lewis Way from its junction with Thomas Lewis Way (Spur) to its junction with Bevois Hill.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete manhole repairs.
3. The alternative route will be Lodge Road and Bevois Hill.
4. The Order will come into force on 21st May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 22nd May 2026.
