What is happening?
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON
(CHILWORTH DROVE FOOTPATH) (FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (004/67) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 11th May 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close the Chilworth Drove Footpath, from its junction with Sandpiper Road northwards for 60m.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are HV cable installation works.
3. The Order will come into force on 18th May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 6 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete after 20 days.
