Pine Drive - Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Defect Works

THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (PINE DRIVE) (ROAD CLOSURE) (473/56) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 11th May 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Pine Drive from its junction with Thornhill Park Road to 50m north of its junction with Thornhill Park Road.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for a carriageway defect.
3. The alternative route will be Thornhill Park Road, Bitterne Road East, Somerset Avenue, Cheriton Avenue and Bramdean Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 20th May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 22nd May 2026.
