(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Ramsden Dock Road, from its junction with Michaelson Road, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 365 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via Michaelson Road, Island Road and Abercorn Road.

The Order will come into operation on 30th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
