What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Shipham Temporary Closure of Shipham Road, Shipham Hill and Cuck Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Shipham Road - from the junction with Axbridge Road, northwards incorporating Shipham Hill and Cuck Hill for a total distance of 2727 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works.

The Order becomes effective on 15th May 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 23rd May 2026 and last until 24th May 2026 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 2 days.
