ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (RUTLISH ROAD, WIMBLEDON) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate crane works, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in Rutlish Road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Rutlish Road, between its junction Kingston Road and its junction with Charles Road;

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in 2(a) above;

(c) proceed on the western footway of Rutlish Road, between its junction with Kingston Road and its junction with Charles Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended. The cycle hire bay will also be suspended.

4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using one or more the following roads:- Charles Road, Kingston Road, Kingswood Road, Kingswood Road Roundabout, Kirkley Road and Shelton Road.

6. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite and Kingston Road as directed by signage.

7. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above insofar as such access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order will come into operation on Thursday 28 May 2026 and will remain in force for 3 months. It is anticipated that the parking suspensions will be operational from 13.00 Thursday 28 May 2026 to 22.00 Monday 1 June 2026 and the crane works will be carried out between 05.30 on 29 May 2026 and 22.00 on Monday 1 June 2026, with backup dates 4 – 8 June 2026 or 11 - 15 June 2026 if required.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (KINGSTON ROAD, SW19) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice, that to facilitate clean water cover works in Kingston Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Kingston Road, from its junction with Hartfield Road to the common boundary of Nos. 189 and 191 Kingston Road;

(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.

3. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

40 Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using one or more of the following roads:- Bushey Road, Crown Lane, Crown Road, London Road, Martin Way and Morden Road.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises adjacent to the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a).

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on 23 May 2026 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 2 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months, should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (LONDON ROAD, MITCHAM) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate scaffolding works in London Road, Mitcham, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the said road.

2. During the works:-

(a) no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in London Road, between its junction with Elmwood Road and its junction with Langdale Avenue; and

(b) the north-westbound bus lane in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended; and

(c) no person would enter or proceed on the south-eastern footway of London Road from the common boundary of Nos. 261 and 263 London Road south-westward for a distance of 19 metres.

3. The restrictions and suspensions would apply only during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed using the footway opposite as directed by signage.

6. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

7. The Order would come into operation on Wednesday 3 June 2026 and remain in force for 12 months. However, the works are expected to be carried out over two separate 6 week periods.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON (VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 8) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which, during the works, would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.

2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice would be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.

3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic would be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress.

4. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
