Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490280 Albert Place from outside of the property known as ‘No.3 Albert Place’ to outside of the property known as ‘No. 27 Albert Place’ for a distance of approximately 100 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works to stabilise cellars and collapsing footway.

Please note that any existing restrictions which are adversely affected by this closure will be suspended for the duration of the said works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 18th May 2026 until 12th June 2026 only.
However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of lengths of Public Footpath, as described below; 

Public Footpath ECH 22 at its junction with Public Footpath ECH 23 extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 250 metres to it junction with Stock Lane.

Part of Public Footpath ECH 23 extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 570 metres.

Part of Public Footpath ADE 19 at its junction with The River Severn extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 200 metres to it junction with public footpath ADE 21.

Part of Public Bridleway ADE 17 extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 430 metres to it junction with public footpath ADE 21.

The said closures are necessary to protect the public whilst flood risk management works are completed. The Order will come into force on 1st June 2026 and it is anticipated that the said footpath closures will continue until 1st October 2026.

The said footpaths fall within the Parishes of Chaceley and Deerhurst in the Borough of Tewkesbury within the County of Gloucestershire.
