Disabled Persons Parking Places – Schedule 253 - The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. 4) Order 2026 - The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No. 4) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 11 May 2026 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of: Nos. 9 and 12 Ansley Close, South Croydon, 20 Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath, No. 67a Euston Road Croydon, No. 85 Kynaston Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 17 Lilac Gardens, Croydon, No. 447 Mitcham Road, Croydon, No. 55 Priory Road, Croydon, No. 33 Southcote Road, South Norwood, No. 23 Sundewne Road, Purley, No. 317 Violet Lane, Croydon, and No. 109 Waddon Park Avenue, Croydon.
b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 18 May 2026, and of all associated Orders, can be inspected between 10:00am and 6:00pm, at: Croydon Central Library, Katharine Street, CR9 1ET, for a period of six weeks from the date the Orders were made. Alternatively, all related documents or further information can be requested by email to: Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
