THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS
(A580 EAST LANCASHIRE ROAD, ST HELENS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, ORDER 2026)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 27th day of April, 2026, the St. Helens Borough Council made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as Amended), the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the layby between Carr Mill Road and Stanley Bank Way on A580 East Lancashire Road, as and when directed by road traffic signs on-site.
The Order will come into force on Monday 6th July 2026, and will have a maximum duration of eighteen months, but will terminate on completion of the works, which is expected to take 13 days.
The reason for making this Order is to facilitate upgrade works to the telecommunication mast.
