NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Trouthall Lane, Plumley
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Trouthall Lane, Plumley – Outside Trout Barn.
The alternative route will be via Trouthall Lane, Back Lane, Plumley Moor Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 1st June 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 14th June 2026.

Notice Is Hereby Given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Congleton Road, Alderley Edge – From the junction of Welsh Row to Holmcroft.
The alternative route will be via Congleton Road, Welsh Row, Frog Lane Roundabout, Melrose Way, Whitehall Bridge Roundabout, Wilmslow Road, London Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 1st June 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 14th June 2026.

Public Rights of Way Notices
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS – (Public Footpath No 8 in the Parish of Goostrey and Public Footpath No 8 (part) in the Parish of Peover Superior and Snelson)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restriction) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following public footpaths:
The entire length of Public Footpath No.8 in the parish of Goostrey which commences at OS Grid Reference (OSGR) SJ 7728 7226, and runs in a northerly direction for 524m to OSGR SJ 7728 7276; and
That length of Public Footpath No. 8 in the parish of Peover Superior & Snelson which commences at OSGR SJ 7728 7276 and runs in a northerly direction for 38m to OSGR SJ 7229 7279.
All directions are general and all distances are approximate.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by an unsafe footbridge. The closure will be required until the footbridge is replaced.
The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 8th April 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months from that date or until the footbridge has been replaced, whichever is the sooner.
