A57 Manchester Rd (Eastbound) (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway, 20MPH Speed Limit Suspension) Temporary Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be as follows:
Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & 20mph Speed Limit: A57 Manchester Rd (eastbound) from its jct. with Birchdale Rd to its jct. with Holes Ln;
A57 Manchester Rd (westbound) from its jct. with New Cut Ln to its jct. with Birchdale Rd;
Birchdale Rd from its jct. with A57 Manchester Rd for 50m in a northerly direction;
Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (A50 Long Lane/Orford Green) (7.5 Tonne Weight Limit) Order 2007 in its entirety.
The Order will be effective from 6th July 2026 for 5 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. However, the restrictions for Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: A57 Manchester Rd (westbound) will only be in operation for two nights, one night for setting up & one night for removal of the traffic management. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.

Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Brook Ave & Bowman Ave, Latchford East (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows:
Brook Ave from its jct. with Bridgewater Ave to its jct. with Mersey Walk;
Bowman Ave from its jct. with Bridgewater Ave to its jct. with Waring Ave.
The Order will be effective from 11th May 2026 for 7 weeks. The alternative routes will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to install new mains.

Waterworks Ln, Winwick (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2026
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Waterworks Ln from its jct. with Winwick Link Rd to its jct. with Hornby Ln. The Order will be effective from 18th May 2026 for 1 week. The alternative route will be via Winwick Link Rd, Newton Rd, Golborne Rd, Myddleton Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to install a new mains connection.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
