What is happening?

NOTICE MAKING TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847 THE THANET DISTRICT COUNCIL VARIOUS ROADS, RAMSGATE RAMSGATE PIRATES FESTIVAL PARADE TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025 CLOSURE OF STREETS

  1. Notice is hereby given that the Thanet District Council has made an Order under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, the effect of which is to prohibit (except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police Constable in uniform) any vehicle from proceeding in the length of streets specified in the schedule to this Notice between the hours of 12:00pm to 13:45pm on Saturday 6th June 2026 (1.45 hours).
  2. Notices will be erected in the streets to enforce these requirements.
  3. The penalty for infringement of the Order is a fine not exceeding £1,000.
  4. This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site.
