What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
A164 SKIDBY ROUNDABOUT TO REGIMENT ROUNDABOUT, BEVERLEY

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A164 Skidby Roundabout to Regiment Roundabout, Beverley (including all legs in between) commencing Monday 1 June 2026 NIGHTS ONLY (between 7pm to 5am) to enable surface course installation works to take place.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. 

The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 26 June 2026.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Beverley South Western Bypass, Killingwoldgraves Roundabout, Beverley Road, York Road, Arras Hill, Sancton Road Roundabout, Sancton Road, Market Weighton Road, King Street, Newbald Road, Sands Top, Westgate, South Cave Road, Kettlethorpe Hill, Station Road, Market Place, Brough Road, A63 J A1034 join E, A63 through J A1034 E, Petuaria Way, A63 from J A1034 to J A15 E, Dale Road, A63 from J A15 to J A1034 W, A63 Melton Interchange Eastbound on Slip, A63 through J A15 E, A63 J A15 leave E, Humberfield Roundabout, Lowthorpe Way, Humber Bridge Roundabout, Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Swanland Roundabout, Riplingham Road Roundabout, Riplingham Road, Willerby Roundabout, Willerby Hill Roundabout, Castle Hill Roundabout and Skidby Roundabout. 

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Access will be maintained for residents, pedestrians and emergency services only.
