What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (GREEN LANE, FLOOKBURGH, B5360 STORRS, C5004 AND THE U5529 ELTERWATER) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;

1. Green Lane, Flookburgh, from its junction with Market Street (B5277), extending in a north westerly direction to its junction with Ellas Orchard.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Green Lane, Redding Brow, Boarbank Lane, Locker Lane and the B5277.

Duration: From 20th May 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROW/18314)

2. B5360 Storrs, from its junction with the A592, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 290 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section the B5360, Kendal Road (A5074), Longtail Hill (B5285) and the A592.

Duration: From 2nd June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/18652)

3. (i) C5004 Elterwater, from a point approx. 40 metres north of its junction with the U5529, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 220 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5004, A593 and the B5343.

(ii) U5529 Elterwater, from its junction with the C5004, extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 80 metres.

There is no suitable alternative route available.

Duration: From 8th June 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/18604)

The Order will come into operation on 20th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
