EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Maxwood Road, Barrmill Road, Blair Crescent, Blair Street, Galston) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 12 May 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing.

Temporary Road Closure – Maxwood Road, Barrmill Road, Blair Crescent, Galston

Maxwood Road - Various Sections over full length 640m.

Barrmill Road - For 10m from junction with Maxwood Road

Blair Crescent - For 20m from junction with Maxwood Road.

No Waiting At Any Time - Maxwood Road, Barrmill Road, Blair Crescent, Blair Street, Galston

Maxwood Road - Various Sections over full length 640m both sides of carriageway.

Barrmill Road - For 10m from junction with Maxwood Road both sides of carriageway.

Blair Crescent - For 20m from junction with Maxwood Road both sides of carriageway Blair Street - For 42m from junction with Henrietta Street both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 26 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 26 May 2026 at 08:00 until 12 June 2026 at 17:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route will be signed via U48 Maxwood (Rural), Clockston Road (U1), Cessnock Road (B7037), Station Road (B7037), Duke Street, Blair Street and vice versa.

(C134, Newmilns) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 12 May 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Widening Works and Culvert Repairs.

Temporary Road Closure – C134, Newmilns For 50m at Bonnieton Burn Culvert

The Order commences on 25 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 25 May 2026 at 09:00 with the closure remaining in place until 05 June 2026 at 17:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Access for Emergency Services, residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diverion route.

An alternative route will be signed via C134 to Ranoldcoup Road to West Main Street to Darvel Road to Isles Street to Main Street to Craigview Road to Brown’s Road to C134 and vice versa.

(Various Roads, Loudoun Street Car Park, Mauchline) (Temporary Road Closure,Prohibition of Waiting & Suspended Waiting Restrictions) Order 2026

On 12 May 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 16 (A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to facilitate the holding of Mauchline Holy Fair.

Road Closure – Castle Street - Full Length

Cowgate - Full Length - Access Permitted for Residents when possible

High Street - From A76 junction to junction of Burngrange Lane.

Mansfield Road - From A76 junction to junction of Cowgate

Car Park Closure - Loudoun Street Car Park

No Waiting At Any Time - Both Sides of Carriageway

Barskimming Road - From junction of Loudoun Street to junction of Beechgrove Road.

Beechgrove Road - from junction of Barskimming Road for 200mtrs.

Castle Street - From A76 junction to Knowe Cowgate - From A76 junction to Loudoun Street.

High Street - From A76 junction to the junction of Burngrange Lane Loudoun Street - From A76 to junction Barskimming Road.

Mansefield Road - From A76 junction to junction Cowgate.

The Order commences on 29 May 2026. The Event restrictions are expected to commence from 29 May 2026 at 12:00 until 30 May 2026 at 23:59.

The Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the Event zone will be maintained when possible and safe to do so.

An alternative route is High Street Diversion A76 Cumnock Road South - Catrine Road - Hamilton Avenue - Mary Morrison - Sorn Road and Vice a Versa.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(Wilson Street, Girvan) (Temporary Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026

On 07 May the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow BT Works.

Temporary Road Closure – Wilson Street, Girvan

For 73m From the Junction of Wilson Street & Ailsa Street West to outside No.12 Wilson Street.

No Waiting At Any Time - Wilson Street, Girvan

For 73m From the Junction of Wilson Street & Ailsa Street West to outside No.12 Wilson Street both sides of carriageway.

The Order commences on 26 May 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 26 May 2026 at 08:00 until 01 June 2026 at 18:00.

The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 18:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
