Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 has made the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35, 45, 46, 49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the Order:
- To Introduce a Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ) No Waiting at Any Time along the length of Turn Pike Close/Ipswich Road, Ardleigh.
- To Revoke the Permit Holders Only bay on the North East side of Kings Quay Street, Harwich.
- To introduce a RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) Permit Holders Only bay on the North East side of Kings Quay Street, Harwich.
- To Revoke the No Waiting at Anytime (between 1st July and 31st August) on both sides along the length of Promenade Way, Brightlingsea.
- Introduce No Waiting at Any Time on both sides to replace the seasonal restriction, along the length of Promenade Way, Brightlingsea.
- To introduce Parking for Cars and Motorcycles Only between 9pm and 6am on the South East side of Promenade Way, Brightlingsea in the currently unrestricted areas.
- To amend The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 Schedule 3 to create an RNLI permit bay in Kings Quay Street.
- To amend The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 schedule 4 to allow allocation of RNLI permits to Staff and Volunteers.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TM020 297 revision 1 with revision 2, TM025 297 revision 0 with revision 1, TM020 295 revision 1 with revision 2 and TM020 292 revision 2 with revision 3
TM075 162 revision 0 with revision 1, TM080 162 revision 0 with revision 1, TM080 165 revision 0 with revision 1, TM260 327 revision 0 with revision 1.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 19 June 2026.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Brunel Road, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brunel Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Paxton Road to its junction with Telford Road a distance of approximately 430m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th June 2026 for 2 nights (19:30 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2403985 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Paxton Road, Stephenson Road, Telford Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stephenson Road, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stephenson Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Telford Road for a distance of approximately 545m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th June 2026 for 5 nights (19:30 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2404261 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Telford Road, Burrs Road, Gorse Lane, Thorpe Road, Stephenson Road West and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Telford Road, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Telford Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Stephenson Road to its junction with Brunel Road a distance of approximately 240m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th June 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2403967 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Stephenson Road, Paxton Road, Brunel Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 21st May 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
