What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C2034 NEAR BEWALDETH AND C2036 DEAN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. C2034 Near Bewaldeth from its junction with the U2102, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 540m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2034, A591 and C2035.
Duration: From 23 May 2026 for approx. 4 days (Ref: TTROCI/7825)
2. C2036 Dean from its junction with the C2031, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 220m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C2036, U2333, C4006, C2030 and C2031.
Duration: From 26 May 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROCI/8098)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 23 May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
