East Sussex County Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, No Stopping, Loading, Unloading and Parking Places)

(Eastbourne Borough Consolidation) Order 2025 Amendment * 2026

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make the above Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will introduce new or revise the existing parking, waiting and loading restrictions along the following lengths of road:-

Changes to Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time – Addingham Road, Barden Road, Beamsley Road, Burfield Road, Cambridge Road, Coltstocks Road, Finmere Close, Halton Road, Hanover Road, Latimer Road, Leaf Hall Road, Marine Parade, Marine Road, Redoubt Road, Ringwood Road, Royal Parade, Rylstone Road, Seaside, St Aubyn’s Road, St James Road, Taddington Road, The Hydneye, The Village, Woodgate Road

Changes to Permit Holders or Free Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 1 hour – Ceylon Place, Coltstocks Road, The Village

Changes to Permit Holders or Paid Parking Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 1 hour – Ivy Terrace, Lushington Road Changes to Permit Holders or Paid Parking Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Compton Street

Changes to Permit Holders or Paid Parking 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Marine Parade, Marine Road, Royal Parade Changes to Permit Holders Only Mon to Sat 8am-6pm – Calverley Road, Langney Road

Changes to Disabled Persons Parking Places – Ceylon Place, Firle Road, Langney Road, Seaside, St Aubyn’s Road

Changes to Loading Places Mon to Sat 8am-6pm – Seaside Introduction of Permit Holders Only Mon to Sat 8am-6pm – Coltstocks Road, The Village

Introduction of Prohibition of Waiting at Any Time – Bayham Road

Introduction of Disabled Persons Parking Places – Beamsley Road, Bromley Close, Cambridge Road, Gladstone Close, Hamsey Close, Hanover Road, Ivy Terrace, Rylstone Road

Introduction of School Keep Clear Mon to Fri 8am-9.30am and 2.30pm- 4pm – Woodgate Road

Introduction of Permit Holders or Pay and Display Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 4 hours no return within 1 hour – Bayham Road, Latimer Road, St James Road

Introduction of Permit Holders Only Mon to Sat 8am-6pm – Addingham Road, Barden Road, Beamsley Road, Cambridge Road, Halton Road, Hanover Road, Marine Road, Redoubt Road, Rylstone Road, Seaside, St Aubyn’s Road, Taddington Road

Introduction of Permit Holders or Free Mon to Sat 8am-6pm maximum stay 2 hours no return within 1 hour – Seaside, St James Road Removal of Disabled Persons Parking Places – Calverley Road, Lushington Road

A copy of the draft Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order along with a copy of the Order being amended can be viewed in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St. Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE on Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm or online at https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/eastbourne-3-formal Any person wishing to make an objection or other representation concerning this proposal must do so in writing, together with the grounds on which it is made, to Communities Economy & Transport, Parking, B Floor, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St. Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE, email parking.escc@eastsussex.gov.uk or online at https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/eastbourne-3-formal quoting reference TRO/544 to arrive no later than 5 June 2026.
