(VARIOUS, CARLTON, MAPPERLEY AND GEDLING AREA)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (G26-076)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Gedling and Carlton in the Borough of Gedling
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (Both sides) (at any time) in the following length of roads as listed in paragraph 3.
3. Park Road, Carlton - From its junction with B686 Burton Road to its junction with Station Road Willow Road, Carlton - From its junction with B686 Burton Road to its junction with Conway Road.
Brooklands Drive, Gedling - From its junction with Shearing Hill to its junction with B686 Burton Road. Grover Avenue, Mapperley - From its junction with Westdale lane West for its entire length.
Marwood Road, Carlton - From its junction with Coningswath Road to its junction with Marwood Crescent. Ousebridge Drive, Carlton - From its junction with Burton Road and its junction with Conway Road.
Unity Crescent, Gedling - From its east side of Westdale Lane West to its west side of Westdale Lane West and the northern spur of Unity Crescent in a northerly direction for a distance of 40 metres.
4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Friday 15th May 2026
Until 18:00 hours on Friday 19th June 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on 15th May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable VIA East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Repair works.
