PARISH OF FALSTONE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 23 (TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Falstone Public Footpath No 23, in the County of Northumberland.

The route is described as follows:
Parish of Falstone Public Footpath Number 23

From a point 10 metres north of the Bunkhouse, Leaplish Waterside Park, in a general south westerly direction for a distance of 170 metres, then in a general northerly direction for a distance of 400 metres, to a point 280 metres north west of the Bunkhouse, Leaplish Waterside Park.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st of June 2026 until the 1st of August 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B6306 GALLOWS BANK HEXHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6306 Gallows Bank Hexham from its point with the front of South Park House heading in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 80 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 7th June 2026 until the 14th June 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 7th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th June 2026.

An alternative route for HGVs will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6306, C282, C278, C280 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

A695 FARNLEY OAKS TO RIDING MILL, RIDING MILL A695 TINKLERS BANK TO FARNLEY OAKS CORBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland:

A695 Farnley Oaks to Riding Mill from its junction with U8094 Shepherds Dene Junction to Grey Court Junction heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 425 metres.

A695 Tinklers Bank to Farnley Oaks from its junction with the A695 Farnley Oaks to Riding Mill heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 720 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st June 2026 until the 28th August 2026.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 1st June 2026 until the 5th June 2026 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 28th August 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A695, B6305, A6079, A69 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U8282 EASTGATE BANK MICKLEY U8283 STONYBANK WAY WEST MICKLEY U8282 BOWLERS HILL MICKLEY (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland:

• U8282 Eastgate Bank Mickley from its junction with A695 West Road heading in a southerly direction for its entire length.
• U8283 Stonybank Way from its junction with U8282 Eastgate Bank heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 100 metres.
• U8282 Bowlers Hill from its junction with U8282 Eastgate Bank heading in a southerly direction for its entire length.

The Order is to be effective from the 4th June 2026 until the 4th December 2026.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 4th June 2026 until the 5th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th December 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8282, C393, B6395, A695, U8283 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8269 NORTH MEADOW FOOTWAY OVINGHAM (TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on that section of the U8269 North Meadow Footway from its point with the front of 25 North Meadows heading in a northwards direction for a distance of 35 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th May 2026 until the 5th June 2026.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 26th May 2026 until the 28th May 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th June 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8269 North Meadow Footway, North Meadows, Bewick Lane and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C202 REDESMOUTH ROAD BELLINGHAM (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C202 Redesmouth Road Bellingham from its point with the front of 29 Redesmouth Road heading in a westerly direction for a distance of 155 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th May 2026 until the 26th June 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th May 2026 until the 7th June 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 26th June 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C202, C201, A68, U5026 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8098 SANDY BANK RIDING MILL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8098 Sandy Bank Riding Mill from its point with the front of Holly House heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 105 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th May 2026 until the 29th May 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 19th May 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 29th May 2026.

There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY SHOW 2026 – VARIOUS ROADS STOCKSFIELD
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 AND (TEMPORARY ONE WAY RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to temporarily close a length of highway and to introduce a one-way restriction as outlined below in Stocksfield in the County of Northumberland.

Road Closure:
C252 Bywell to High Barns Junction from its junction with the U8201 heading westwards for a distance of 650 metres in the County of Northumberland.

One Way System:
B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads from its junction with the U8200 to its junction with the C252 for a distance of 1560 metres and will only allow south-bound traffic.

C252 Bywell to High Barns junction for its entire length and will only allow south-bound traffic.

C251 Bywell to Show House for its entire length and will only allow north-bound traffic.

The Order is to be effective on the 23rd May 2026.

It is expected that the road closure and one way restriction will be in place 23rd May 2026 between the hours of 06:00 and 16:00; however, the order will remain in place all day on the 23rd May 2026.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6309, A695, A68 and A69.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

PARISHES OF GREYSTEAD AND WARK
PUBLIC BRIDLEWAYS NUMBERS 25 AND 35 (TEMPORARY PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) CONTINUATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”) has made an Order which will continue to prohibit the use of the Parish of Greystead Public Bridleway Number 25 and Parish of Wark Public Bridleway Number 35, in the County of Northumberland.

The Council made an order named the “Northumberland County Council (Parishes of Greystead and Wark Public Bridleways Numbers 25 and 35 (Temporary Public Bridleway Closure) Order 2025 on the 12th November 2025 (“the 2025 Order”) due to works being carried out, the Council are satisfied that the bridleway should continue to be prohibited as works continue around the bridleway to replace a bridleway bridge over the Clint Burn and due to the works there remains a likelihood of danger to the public as the bridleway runs over the bridge and it is not safe for traffic to use.

The Secretary of State has approved an extension of the 2025 Order on the 6th May 2026 to continue the prohibition until the 18th May 2027 or until completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The route is described as follows:
Greystead and Wark Public Bridleways Numbers 25 & 35

From a point 810 metres south-east of Little Dodd Hill in a general north-easterly and northerly direction for a distance of 2,220 metres to the junction with Parish of Greystead Public Footpaths 13 and 16 immediately north of the Clint Burn.

There is an alternative route available from a point 810 metres south-east of Little Dodd Hill in a general north-westerly direction for a distance of 1510 metres passing to the north of Little Dodd Hill then continuing over the forestry road in a general north-easterly direction for a distance of 3180 metres to join Parish of Greystead Public Bridleway Number 21, 165 metres north-west of the Clint Burn and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The Order shall continue the prohibition from the 18th May 2026 until the 18th May 2027.

The continuation has been requested by Northumberland County Council, Neighbourhood Services as works continue to replace a bridleway bridge over the Clint Burn due to the works there remains a prohibition of use by all traffic on the bridleway.
