LICENSING ACT 2003 NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A PREMISES LICENCE UNDER SECTION 34
Notice is hereby given that on the 6th of May 2026 T.J. Morris Limited applied to Durham County Council for a variation of the Premises Licence in respect of premises Home Bargains, Oxford Road, Spennymoor DL16 6YQ.
The proposed variation is 1. To amend the plan of the premises to extend the store and its licensed area into the adjacent units 2. To extend the hours for opening and alcohol sales to 07:00 to 23:00.
Any representations by a responsible authority or any other person regarding this application must be received in writing by:- Licensing Authority, Durham County Council, Licensing Services, PO Box 274, Stanley Durham DH8 1HG, alternatively email: licensing@durham.gov.uk no later than the 3rd of June 2026 stating the grounds for representations. The register of Durham County Council the record of the application may be inspected at the Council's offices at Annand House, John Street North, Meadowfield, Durham DH7 8RS by appointment, on weekdays between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.
