The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.6) Order 2026" authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of Quarryheads Lane comprising highway verge at Durham, in the County of Durham. This is to enable development as permitted by Durham County Council under reference DM/25/01022/FPA.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/6185). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Durham Post Office, 22-23 Market Place, Durham, DH1 3NJ.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 14 May 2026.
