(FERNLEIGH ROAD, GRANGE-OVER-SANDS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Fernleigh Road, Grange-Over-Sands, from its junction with B5277, extending in a overall north westerly direction to its junction with Rockland Road.

A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of Fernleigh Road, Grange Fell Road, Kents Bank Road and the B5277.

The Order will come into operation on 18th May 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
