What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(FACKLEY ROAD, TEVERSAL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (A26-035)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Teversal in the District of Ashfield The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road 

a. Fackley Road, Teversal - From its junction with Crompton Street to its junction with Meden Bank

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01, Tuesday 26th May 2026
Until 23:59, Saturday 4 th July 2026 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

Tibshelf Road, Fackley - Wild Hill, Teversal - Mansfield Road, Tibshelf - High Street, Tibshelf - Alfreton Road, Tibshelf -Newton Road, Tibshelf - Main Street, Newton - Hall Lane, Newton - Cragg Lane, Newton - Huthwaite Lane, Blackwell Blackwell Road, Huthwaite - Sutton Road, Huthwaite - Huthwaite Road, Sutton in Ashfield - Lammas Road, Sutton in Ashfield - Priestsic Road, Sutton in Ashfield - Stoneyford Road, Sutton in Ashfield - High Street, Stanton Hill and vice versa

The Order will come into force on Tuesday 23rd May 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to C3 Construction to carry out works to complete S278 construction works;
