(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 146) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for essential upgrade to infrastructure on behalf of Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Windsor Crescent, Wakefield for approximately 10 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Windsor Crescent.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 20th May 2026 to 27th May 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Southfield Lane, Horbury at the junction of Quarry Hill. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Southfield Lane.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway planing & surfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Havertop Lane, Normanton outside Police HQ. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Havertop Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Premier Way South, Normanton Bypass & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 31st May 2026 07.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 160) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for essential upgrade to infrastructure, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hawthorne Grove, Wakefield from the junction of Batley Road to Hawthorne Terrace. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hawthorne Grove.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Batley Road, Conway Road, Hawthorne Terrace & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Westgate, Wakefield one way closure from Mulberry Way to Piccadilly, outbound lanes. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Westgate.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Market Street, Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Westgate.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 31st May 2026 to 14th June 2026 Sundays only between 18.00 hours and 23.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to close the layby due to ongoing road safety concerns to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wrenthorpe Bypass A650, Wakefield, the layby near the Kenmore Road roundabout . The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wrenthorpe Bypass A650.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Blenheim Road, Wakefield from the junction with Leeds Road to house number 14 and the junction with Belmont Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Blenheim Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Kensington Road, Richmond Road, Blenheim Road & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for utility repair & maintenance works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Dewsbury Road, Ossett one way closure of inside lane of roundabout between Dewsbury Road and Leeds Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Dewsbury Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Ossett Bypass A638 roundabout, Leeds Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st June 2026 to 22nd June 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
