What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C326 (Part), Bowerchalke; from its property known as Hillcrest Cottage to its property known as The Chapel to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works. Alternative route via C326 (unaffected length) – C12 – C65 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 June 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. B) C24 (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with C318 to its junction with C301 to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C301 – C276 – B3089 – C43 – C25 – C24 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 for 1 day. C) Station Road, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with A350 to its junction with C309.

D) C309 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with Station Road to its junction with C62 to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out mains replacement and associated works. Alternative route via C62 – A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and the closure will be required until 28 July 2026. E) C309 (Part), West Tisbury; from its property known as Billhay Cottage for a distance of approximately 165m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 21 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. F) C306 (Part), East Knoyle; from a point approximately 30m north of its property known as Chapel Field Barn for a distance of approximately 50m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 21 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. G) Short Street (Part), Fonthill Gifford; from its property known as Jerrards Farm for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach Limited to carry out pole and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 for 1 day. H) Blackcross Road (Part), Amesbury; from its property known as No.11 Blackcross Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out repair cover and frame and other associated works. Alternative route via Blackcross Road (unaffected length) – Chambers Avenue – Underwood Drive – Stockport Avenue – Archers Way – Redworth Drive and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 for 1 day. I) B3085 (Part), Durrington; from its property known as Waters Edge for a distance of approximately 118m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services Limited to carry out frame and cover repair and other associated works. Alternative route via B3085 (unaffected length) – A3028 – A345 – B3085 (unaffected length) and vice versa. J) C315 (Part), Alvediston; from its junction with C12 to its property known as Cross Cottage to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair frame and cover and associated works. Alternative route via C315 (unaffected length) – C64 – A30 – C12 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 13 April 2026 will now recommence on 20 May 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order J) has a maximum duration of 18 months the closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all users:

A) Footpath 16, Alderbury; from its junction with Shute End Road to its junction with Footpath 3, Britford to enable Wessex Water to carry out essential works to the sewer network, to instate a rising main along Shute End Road. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 22 May 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 22 July 2026. B) Footpath 3 (Part), South Newton; from its junction with Footpath 4, South Newton to its junction with Footpath 2, South Newton to enable removal of existing footbridge and ancillary works followed by the installation of a new footbridge on behalf of the environment agency. Alternative route via Footpath 3 (unaffected length) – A36 – Footpath 4, South Newton and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2026 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 May 2026. 2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (B3083 SALISBURY ROAD AND B3086 LONDON ROAD, SHREWTON (RESTRICTED ROADS) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: Order 1 – To revoke The County of Wiltshire (C291 Elston Lane, Orcheston and Shrewton (30mph Speed Limit)) Order 2024 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on:

B3083 Salisbury Road, Shrewton – from its junction with A360 Amesbury Road to a point 5 metres east of the boundary between properties known as ‘Rose Cottage’ and ‘Lanes End’;

B3086 High Street, Shrewton – from its junction with B3086 London Road/The Hollow to its junction with A360 Salisbury Road/Maddington Street;

B3086 London Road, Shrewton – from its junction with B3086 High Street to a point 42 metres east of the eastern corner of property known as Kuching Cottage;

Brocks Orchard, Chalk Hill, Chants Lane, Chapel Lane, Far View Road, Furlong Crescent, Furlong Way, Highfield Rise, Hilltop Close, Hindes Meadow, Lower Backway, Meadway, Nett Road, Tanners Lane, The Butts, Trinity Gardens, Trinity Road, Upper Backway, Shrewton – the complete lengths;

The Hollow, Shrewton and Orcheston – the complete length;

C291 Elston Lane, Shrewton and Orcheston – from its junction with B3086 London Road to its junction with Elston Hill.

Order 2 – To revoke The County of Wiltshire B3083, Shrewton (Restricted Roads) Order 2012 and The County of Wiltshire B3083, Shrewton (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2012 and re-enact them, in part in the above Order 2. Deposit copies of the draft Orders, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Amesbury Library, Smithfield Street SP4 7AL during the hours of 2pm to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to 1pm Saturday until 15 June 2026.
